 journey to Pisa crossed by the passage of the Second World War and divided in two: the Allies to the south of the Arno and the Nazi-fascist forces to the north. On Wednesday 24 April, on the anniversary of the Liberation of Italy, a special edition of the Walls of Pisa Night experience will take place on the high-altitude walkway, in collaboration with the Acquario della Memoria. A night-time cinema tour in which participants will be equipped with silent headphones and will watch video projections and original audio content to relive those years both in the testimonies of those who were there and thanks to archive images and stories from private diaries. The enthusiasm of the beginning, the bombing of 31 August 1943, the German occupation, the resistance of the Casarosa partisan brigade, the city divided in two by the Arno front, the cathedral invaded by displaced persons, the fire of the Monumental Cemetery, the Nazi roundups, until 2 September 1944, liberation of Pisa.

Departure at 9pm from the Piezometric Tower of Polo Fibonacci, ex Marzotto, with access from the cycle/pedestrian walkway outside the Walls which can be reached from Via San Francesco or Via Vittorio Veneto, arriving at approximately 10.30pm in Piazza dei Miracoli. The length of the walk is approximately 2 kilometers. Tickets at 10 euros (plus 1.50 euros in advance), free for those accompanying disabled people, recommended for audiences aged 12 and over. People with disabilities, upon communication, can be made to go up and down using the Piezometric Tower lift as there is no lift at the Santa Maria Tower.
